Dear colleagues,
Welcome to the CMT Recruitment
website. This website contains everything you need to know to apply
for CMT (CT1) posts by way of the online application system, including
information for applicants, Deaneries and consultants, as well as
details of the different stages of the recruitment process, with key
dates and clear instructions.
A national helpdesk has been set up
within the CMT Recruitment Office, offering email advice on the
recruitment process during working hours. Our FAQs pages will be
updated regularly to give the best possible advice on all aspects of
the process, so please visit this before emailing the helpdesk.
While the 2009 recruitment process is
nearing completion, it is still ongoing - hence the main focus for the
information contained herein is still the 2009 process. Plans for 2010
are currently being developed, following analysis of this year’s
recruitment project and consultation with stakeholders throughout the
process, from trainees to recruiters to Deanery administrators.
Information on next year’s CMT recruitment will be added to the
website periodically, and we would advise those wishing to apply to
CMT in 2010 to check this website regularly.
We believe that this new system is
intuitive and applicant-friendly, improves consistency of recruitment,
and is more transparent and streamlined than recruitment in previous
years. We have received much positive feedback on its implementation
so far this year, and will continue to work towards producing a
recruitment process that is as fair and efficient as possible.
Yours sincerely,
Bill Burr
